Hey lovebirds. Wedding Crashers, Brooklyn’s best wedding fair for couples seeking one-of-a-kind nuptials, returns on Sunday, March 4, 2012 with over 40 incredible wedding vendors—our largest selection yet. Creative designers, photographers, planners, DJs and caterers will fill The Green Building from 11 am to 4 pm. Then we’ll put you in a party bus to the music showcase and afterparty from 3 to 6 at the Bell House with nine live wedding bands and ensembles including Raya Brass Band, The Dexter Lake Club Band, and The Engagements.

(Our vendors are so good, you should come if you’re planning any sort of festive event–anniversary, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, company picnic, awesome annual meeting.)

But back to your special day! Being able to hear so many bands in one place isn’t the only thing that makes Wedding Crashers the coolest wedding fair in New York. We also take full advantage of the borough’s amazing and ever-expanding food scene, and offer an excellent (some might even say insane) selection of caterers, cake studios and confectioners. This year’s caterers include Naturally Delicious, herb-n-peach, Betty Brooklyn and Radish, as well as the specialty shop Shelsky’s Smoked Fish, the catering arms of Mile End,  Marlow & Sons/Diner/Roman’s, and the incomparable butcher shop, The Meat Hook. Plus, four food trucks will be parked out front: the Red Hook Lobster Truck, Food Freaks, Schnitzel & Things and Frites ‘N’ Meats. Elegantly Iced, One Girl Cookies, Bee’s Knees Baking Co., COOLHAUS, and Raaka Chocolate are providing sweet options for the dessert table. And we’ll be pouring complimentary Hudson Whiskey in the Groom’s Lounge, and sparkling Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur cocktails at the bar, where Brooklyn Brewery will also be sampling Local One.

Many of our vendors are longtime Brooklynites with years of experience in the wedding industry and at local venues. Caterer Naturally Delicious, custom invitation designer Lion in the Sun, and floral and event designer Kerry Quade each have over a decade or more of experience in producing fabulous Brooklyn weddings.

A few vendors have teamed up to make the planning process easier for couples. Rebecca Shepherd Designs, Tammy Golson Events, Makeup Artist Anni Bruno, Officiant Carissa Templeton, Visual Artist Ruth Irving, Kristina Hill Photography, and life coach Sam Zuniss—all of whom will be present at the fair—recently formed the wedding collective, Brooklyn Betrothed. Each guest at Wedding Crashers will be automatically eligible for their “Wedding in a Bag” package, worth $1500, which includes an engagement shoot, an hour each of wedding planning and wedding vow consultation, a bridal bouquet or boutonniere, a makeup trial, thank you notes and more! (Just register at their table to enter.)

All of our vendors will be a great source of inspiration to gay and straight couples alike. In our Grooms’ Lounge, stylist James Jean will offer advice on tailoring shirts and suits for men and women, and Brooklyn bridal salon Michelle New York Brides, one of the vendors at Brooklyn’s first-ever LGBT wedding fair, will have models showcasing gowns in a variety of styles.

Tickets are on sale now, with three options: VIP tickets ($35), limited to 100 guests from 11 am to noon, include a flute of champagne, first dibs on party bus seats, and tote bags filled with goodies like Raya Brass Band’s debut album, whisks from Whisk, and candles from Good Candle. General admission is $25 in advance, $30 at the door, and like the VIP tickets includes a party bus seat (courtesy Cosmopolitan Coach) and admission to the Wedding Band Showcase and after-party at the Bell House. You can also purchase advance tickets ($10) to the Showcase from 3-6pm, where guests will also find Luckystar Photobooth, the catering offerings of Radish, fruit smoothies from Coconut Rob and a hands-on screenprinting table from Gowanus Print Lab so you can see what it’s like to make your own invites.

Now through Friday, we’re giving away VIP tickets to 5 lucky guests. Just check out our full list of vendors below and tell us who you’re most excited to meet on our facebook page. We’ll pick the random winners by Friday, February 24 at noon.

And we’ll inspire your socks off on March 4!
